Lemon Mint Sweet Tea

Ingredients
  

Lemon Mint Syrup:

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Syrup
  • 4 Mint Sprigs OR 1 Tsp Mint Extract
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • Juice of 1 Lemon ~ 1/2 Cup

Gallon:

  • 4 Tea Bags – Use Family sized decaf
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 13 cups Cold water
  • 1 cup Lemon Mint syrup
  • Single Serve 1 pint:

  • 1 Tea Bags I use Family sized Decaf
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 Cups Cold water
  • 1-2 Tbsp Lemon Mint Syrup

Instructions
 

Lemon Mint Syrup:

  • Method: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a boil. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat, Add Lemon Zest, If using Fresh mint add mint sprigs, and cover for ~10 minutes. Remove the lid and add back to a medium low heat. Bring to a simmer and simmer until it is desired thickness. about 20 minutes. Remove from heat. If using extract, add now and mix in. Strain and allow to cool without a lid. Once cool it’s ready to be sealed. Will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks to 1 month. If you are using Extract instead of fresh add it at the very end or it will boil out, We don’t recommend using both as it becomes over powering.

Lemon Mint Sweet Tea

  • Method: In your container (gallon pitcher, or glass) put in your tea bag(s) and boiling water. Allow to steep 5-7 minutes to desire strength, longer than this it will begin to get bitter. Remove Tea bag(s). Mix in Syrup. Then, mix in Cold water and top with Ice or refrigerate!
