Corn grits with sweet chili shrimp on top

Sweet chili shrimp with sweet corn grits

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 3/4 cups Old fashioned grits you can use instant but cook time and liquid amounts may change.
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1 can whole kernel corn drained
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • Pepper to taste
  • 12 oz tail off shrimp we used cooked but you can also use raw just make sure you cook it through
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a boil
  • Once boiling turn heat to a low medium heat and add in grits, cream style corn, whole kernel corn, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  • While grits are cooking. Melt butter in a pan and sauté the garlic about 3 minutes
  • Add shrimp and coat them in the garlic butter. Warming them through or cooking depending on what shrimp you used.
  • Add sweet chili sauce to the shrimp, stir well. Once the grits are thick add in 2 Tbsp of butter and mix until melted.
  • Add pepper and serve.
