Apple Spice Latte
Apple Spice Syrup:
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup White Sugar
- 2 3 inch Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 Tsp ginger Fresh is best ground will work, optional
- 3 Crushed Cardamom Pods optional
- 1 Cup water
- 1 Medium Green Apple Sliced
Latte:
- 1 Tbsp Apple Spice Syrup
- 1 Shot Espresso
- 3/4 – 1 Cup Milk of choice
- Ice optional for an iced latte
Apple Spice Syrup:
Method: Combine the Sugar and Water in a saucepan. Heat until the Sugar is dissolved. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until the apple is mushy, about 20 minutes. Strain, cool, and store in an airtight container for about a month.
Latte:
Method: Mix your espresso and syrup together. Next, Froth your milk, if you are making a hot latte you will want to heat your milk first. Pour the milk over your espresso. Top with Ice for an iced latte. Sprinkle some apple pie spice on top for a little extra!
