Cabbage Steaks

Ingredients
  

  • Head of cabbage
  • Neutral oil we use avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut a washed head of cabbage into thick (~1 inch) Medallions to form the steaks.
  • Place on a baking sheet (we line ours with foil for easy clean up) drizzle with oil and use a brush or your hand to distribute it evenly across each steak. Salt and Pepper to taste.
  • Place on a 300º smoker for 30-45 minutes for your desired softness. You can also “smoke’ these on a grill with a indirect grilling set up. If you do not want to smoke them you can bake them in the oven at 350º for 20-30 minutes (a dash of liquid smoke can add smokey flavors if you want).
