Caramel Latte
Ingredients
Caramel Syrup/Sauce:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 6 Tbsp Butter
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
Latte:
- 1 Shot Espresso or Espresso adjacent coffee
- 1-2 Tbsp caramel Sauce
- 3/4 – 1 cup Frothed Milk
Instructions
Caramel Syrup/Sauce:
- method: Melt the sugar in a heavy bottomed sauce pan. Don’t leave it or you will have burned sugar. Once melted add you butter and milk (both MUST be room temperature) to the pan and mix quickly. Keep stirring until it is all combined. Store in a jar in the fridge for up to a month. If it is too thick coming out of the fridge you can gently reheat it in a pot of water.
Latte:
- method: Pour your coffee into your chosen glass and mix with the caramel sauce. Pour on your frothed milk. Top with a drizzle of Caramel Sauce. For an extra flavor boost you can froth your milk with caramel syrup.
